Great documentary movie called Crooks (Šmejdi)

Usually I am not moved that much by a movie, but yesterday I saw a movie called Crooks. (another link here) (in Czech Šmejdi). It is about how companies in the Czech republic are scheming seniors/elderly people to buy worthless goods for tremendous amount of money.

Terrible. That is the only word I can say. Manipulation, humiliatin, threats, abusive language, signing documents under pressure, confiscation of ID and in the end signing the contracts from the seniors who go home with vacuum cleaner that is worth 50 euros with the pricetag of 2000 euros.

The people who are presenting the goods and yelling at the seniors, well I gues they could have been overseers in concentration camps for sure. I have never in my life seen anything terrible like that.

The movie ends with the shot at the property/chateau from 1380 A.D. that is owned by the German Jensen Beckhäuser. It is now being sold for aproximately 40 million euros. This guy owns one of the biggest companies in the Czech Republic that is scheming the money from the seniors. Even bigger fun, he also owns the chain of fitness Beck Box Club. Hopefully I am not member, but if I would be, I would tell them to fuck off after seeing this movie.

I really dont get it, how this can be possibly legal and that these persons are getting away with this. What is worst, there are around 500 companies who do this in here. Just terrible.

But what is the most sad part of the movie is the sentence that the movie ends with: "What is your grandma doing tomorrow?" I guess that one of the reasons of success of such terrible companies is that young people are now disconnected from their parents/grandparents and they feel lonely and thing that going to such presentations of goods is a great way to spend their time.
