Reasons for Satan Klaus

While in the US they have Santa Claus (whom I enjoy calling for fun Satan Klaus, because this fella is somehow invading my country since 1989 in the same way as the Father Frost from Russia was invading my country in 1948-1989), here in Europe we have lots of different ways how to call the guy who brings you presents.

French are always an exception and have to be somehow special (whole world has NATO, french have OTAN etc.), so their Papa Noel can kiss my shiny metal ass, but in Czech Republic and also in Germany the presents are given to kids by infant Jesus, Christkind, Ježíšek (in Czech).

And here the reasons for Satan Klaus:

1) at certain age kids stop to believe in Santa and they found out, that the presents are given to them by their parents, therefore they say "I dont believe in Santa." Now imagine the USA would have little/infant Jesus as we in Europe have and say "I dont believe in Jesus", therefore this would be for them herecy (Czech republic has 80 % of atheists, so we dont have such problem). I am not aware of a fact how Germans deal with this, is the Christ child the same important guy as the grown-up guy? Was Jesus doing miracles at the age of 7? Probably not.

2) talking about the coca-cola symbol of Santa to depict the commodification of the holy time of Christmas is just waste of time, so just mentioning it.

OK, enjoy the advent time and Happy X-mass for all! Even if you have various kinds of names how to call the guy and try hard not to have a Santa ruling your country if it is not part of your traditions. :o)

Faster Windows? In your dreams!

OK, I am using computers since Windows 95. When I had windows 98 and Pentium III 350 Mhz, turning off the computer took around 5 seconds since I pressed the "Shut down button".

Now I have Core 2 Duo on 2 Ghz, with 2 giga of RAM and Windows Vista and turning off of the computers from the time I press "Shut down button" takes from 45 seconds till 1 minute or sometimes even more.

Microsoft, FUCK YOU and fuck your marketing, about how the system is FASTER. I have multiple more powerful machine than with Win98 and yet it is shit to turn off your Vista system.

Singles livin in multi-pack society

OK, so most members of the current Western population are living just all by themselves (the ulrich becks second modernity)... but when you go shopping for food, the bigger package you buy, the better the price is (because packaging and distribution of food are still the biggest influential price creators - you cant wire pork chops through optical cable).

I get this, but, imagine you buy 10 pork cutlets, but you eat only 2 or 3 for a dinner, so you just have to freeze the rest. I guess freezing is gonna be the new paradigm in the housing shit :o).

And making a big shopping once a week? Shit most of the products are not fresh after two days but you have so much food in the fridge because of this multi-pack society (like salads, cheese, pastry etc.).

So you either have to spend more for smaller packages (which is why singles are singles, because they love to have their standards of living and because of that they have to have a great job), or you have to freeze like hell and the products you cant freeze or eat before they run out of their quality... you just have to throw them away spoiled. Lets waste or be not the "singles" anymore.

I guess some starving weirdos would love to have my problems...

Adorno rotating in his grave

I gues that if Adorno would be today at the classical music conert he would rather die, because of how mistaken he was...

Because you cant force certain people to enjoy the "high" culture... In front of me (the whole line) were sitting guys around 15 (appereantly with their teacher from some kind of kids asylum). When the girl with beautiful soprano was singin the Cacchini's Ave Maria they were laughing loudly.

I was really wondering if I should intervene and beat them up... but... there would be high possibility that I would come out as the bad one, because
a) there were a lot of Gipsy kids in there - therefore I would be a racist
b) I wasnt sure if they werent slightly retarted - therefore I would be cruel person who beats up the retarted kids

Anyway I just think they were just bunch of assholes who do not have any manners. Because in the breathtaking start of the Ave Maria (just the string instruments) one of the gipsy kid said something like: "Jesus fucking christ this would be great background for beatbox" and started to do there the beatbox shit. I was really THIS close from beating him up... But I didnt... because, you just cant force someone to enjoy the "high" culture if he knows only the "low" culture. Therefore I think that Adorno was really mistaken with his theory, that the elite intellectuals should say what is good (classical music and avant-garde) and what is bad....

Anyhow, Adorno was critisizing mostly jazz music, which on the other hand is today rated as the "high" culture, because it is kinda difficult. If he would see what is "popular" these days, he would be probably rotating in his grave...

Women

I guess that only women as a species have the great "magic", that if they are twenty years old, they can look like 40 years old (or even worse when they are 12 they look like 20) or on the other hand if they are 40 they can look like 25. Men are just men...
